About the Author

Matthew Yeoman is a writer from Canada currently living in South Africa. This may have changed depending on how recently he has updated his ‘About’ section! He has written articles for Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Simply Computing, and his own blog. He also works freelance for WSI, writing articles for SEO purposes. In the past he has done Public Relations for CheckPoint Theatre as their press release writer. His first work in the writing world was as a street level journalist covering social issues for Beyond Robson.

He has driven, by himself, across North America from the Atlantic Ocean to the Pacific Ocean, seeing cities of every size and meeting people of every nationality. He finds North America interesting enough, but longs for the next adventure, the next city, and the next country. With all his experiences and travels, he is still a farm boy with a yearning for hearing long stories as if he was once again very young and riding around in his father’s tractor.

  1. Hi Matt,

I came across your blog by accident as I was searching for bloggers on african football. what you do seems interesting in terms of what I’m looking for. excuse me for being to the point, I’m basically looking for good sports writer who can contribute to a project of mine that I have just set up. I’m originally from africa, grew up in Europe and I’m specialize with anything internet. I just set up a website that will cover all aspects of the african cup of nations and I saw you mentioned that you will be attending.

I built this website for my own interest and also to promote africa, especially that some of the website that provide such news are not of the same standard as of those in europe. Here is the URL: http://www.africanationscup2013.com/ have a look I have to tell you but if you can be of help we would be greatful.

Many thanks and best of luck in planning your trip I have no doubt you will enjoy it. I love Cape Town I was there last year.

    Best regards
